But like other primitive people, Nigerians have been engaging in some form of Physical Education in an informal fashion. Some of these activities include traditional wrestling, hunting, fishing. swimming (Argungu Fishing Festival), ayo game, moonlight play, social dances, and war dances. The idea of PT (Physical Training) came to Nigeria through the colonial masters when the control of the country was taken over by the British.
